father and son, joe and darren out fishing with us for a couple of days, darren had a couple of cats out, 81lb and 55lb, both cats taken on mullet drifting down the margins

paul, john and chris out with us for a few days, fishing is hard at the mo due to the river being low and clear as we have had no rain, chris had a cat of 41lb and john had a good cat of 116lb both taken on mullet

SEPTEMBER 1st - 5th

after a few weeks off having a summer break we was back out again with neil from france, his second trip out with us this year, he had a few cats out on this trip but he was only interested in trying to beat his pb which he set with us earlier in the year with a cat of 151lb, all the cats were unhooked in the water and released striaght away, we did not weigh them or take photos as he has had quite a few over the ton mark in the last few years coming out with us, the fishing was tough and all the cats he caught were taken on eel with a couple of droped runs on mullet.

JULY 24th - 29th

big game fisherman evanthis and charallampis from cyprus out with us for a few days,
the fishing was a bit harder this week but they still managed to boat a couple over the ton,
first into the action was charallampis with a new pb of 120lb, evanthis followed it up with a cat of 129lb also a new pb for him, charallampis had a couple more cats out at 94lb and a smaller one that we did not weigh
all cats were caught on either mullet or carp fished in a deep section of the river up stream from amposta.

after 10 days off with my father-in-law over doing some carping we was back out for a few days with iain and marc, they had 6 cats out over a couple of days, first cat went to marc at 116lb, iain then had a cat of 129lb, marc went on to get a new pb with a huge cat of 150lb, he also had cats of 90lb and 72lb, with iain catching a small kitten, all were caught on either carp or mullet, fished just off bottom in a deeper section of the river

neil from france on his 3rd trip with us catching 5 cats this time out, 93lb, 151lb (new pb), 133lb, 20lb and a 68lb, all cats were taken in deep water and all taken on carp, he also lost a couple coming off the hooks early in the fight

steve and paul from bristol out with us, action was a bit slow but at least it was the bigger cats being caught, steve's first ebro cat came down river from amposta on the delta stretch of the river, weighing in at 121lb, this cat hit the bait 4 times before screaming off with it, in a deeper section of the river up from amposta steve had another cat of 139lb , this one took over 40 mins to get in as it had wrapped itself around an old tree branch that when it came up was longer than the boat, paul had a screaming run on his rod but sadley missed it, both cats taken on mullet

trevor, lucas and marcin from cambridge out with us, on there first day out trevor had a small kitten of 13lb, over the next few days the fishing was hard with no takes at all, but on there last day trevor had a cat of 90lb and lucas had one of 51lb towards the end of the session, all taken on mullet.

father and son-in-law, doug and mark from Nuneaton out with us this week, first to catch was doug with a big cat of 149lb, his next was a small one at 25lb, mark went straight in with a monster of a cat weighing in at 158lb, next cat in the boat went to doug, putting up an awsome fight and after about 30 mins she was in the boat, in the sling she went to 168lb, they went on to have 2 more out, 1 each, mark 41lb doug 77lb,
both caught cats to over 150lb and 1 nearly at 149lb, all cats were caught on mullet, fishing up river from amposta.

after about 10 days off with the cats spawning it was nice to get out again, che and lee from coventry on a trip with us this week, after a few missed runs and a few small ones lee was into a nice cat taken on the amposta to deltebre section of the river, his first ebro cat at 138lb, taken on a small carp,
che had a couple of good cats on but sadly had 2 snap offs, lee then had on there last day a monster cat of 166lb taken on a mullet just up river from amposta, with spawning now over the bigger cats are coming back on the feed.

on there third and final day vinny had a small cat of 33lb late on in the session, earlier he missed a take and richard had a a huge cat on for about 5 mins before it came off the hooks, very windy conditions out today

another 2 for richard and vinny today, but both only small kittens, vinny missed 2 takes midway through the session, then richard had a kitten of 23lb, later on vinny had another kitten of 21lb and late on in the session richard had a droped run

first day out catting of 2011, and what a good start, richard and vinny out today with vinny hooking into his first cat on his first trip on the ebro, after a good fight the cat came in the boat and went 81lbs on the scales,
an hour or so later richards float banged under and screamed off, after a 20 min fight the cat came to the boat, not a new pb for richard (152lb he set with us last year) but she went 132lb in the sling.

mark and john out on there last day catfishing with us got another 2 cats, 1 each, first into the action was mark when his float banged under but sadly it was only another small kitten of 18 lb,
a couple of hours later johns float shot under, popped back up, then shot off again, the cat gave a good fight and went 115 lb in the sling, thats 3 cats over the ton for john this week

birthday boy john celabrated with 2 cats today, first cat came from a drift down the middle of the river, his float banged under resulting in a cat of 51lb.
later in the day as the sun was setting we was drifting in a well known big cat area when his float slammed under again, after a hectic 15 min fight the cat came in the boat, in the sling she weighed 125lb, a new pb for john, well done mate,
both cats were taken on carp.

father and son, mark & george day out fishing with us, had a good start today with mark's float banging under after an hour into the session resulting in him getting a cat of 84lb,
a couple of hours later george's float dissapeared under and 15 mins later after some huge runs the cat was in the boat, going 122lb on the scales, both cats were caught on carp, drifting down the margins

first day out for ty & laurie started well with a take in the first 10 mins resulting in laurie with this 40lb cat,
an hour or so later his float shot under again, after about 10 mins playing the cat and pulling the boat up river it came off the hooks,
later in the day ty had 2 runs but unfortunatly he missed them both

another 2 for graeme in the boat today, first he had a snap off by a toothy sea predator that took a very large crucian carp, then a hour later he latched into a cat of 112lb taking a small carp, later on he then had a kitten of 10lb, as we was packing up to come home his float shot under agian but he missed it on the strike.

lower ebro record holder graeme childs back out with us catching this beauty at 135lb, the cat came from a stretch up river from amposta just after dark, taken on a large carp the cat gave a good fight trying to get into a large weed bed near the bank, this is the same cat that simon had out on the 23rd of august at the same weight

fishing was hard this week with the water still being very clear and the weather hot and bright, but we still managed a couple of cats even if there were small ones, on the last day of there trip ian did latch into a big cat but after a battle of about 10 mins he managed to get into a snag and broke off
